Have you ever found yourself strolling down Sheridan Road, wondering if one day you’ll be one of those absurdly affluent alumni so revered by the University that you’ll have a building named after you? Same.

As of 2016, Northwestern’s endowment was $9.65 billion, making it the eighth largest in the country. This hefty sum is, in part, the result of generous donations from alumni, parents and friends who have given back to the school since its founding.
