This week, Northwestern’s Asian American Studies Program is celebrating the 20th anniversary of a student hunger strike – which led to the implementation, four years later, of the Asian American Studies minor. The commemoration of the strike will occur this Wednesday, May 6 at 5:30 p.m. in Hardin Hall.

Over the next few days, NBN will publish stories that look back on this historical event. Our coverage will feature reflections from alums, thoughts from current students and more.
