Not your type
We chose to divide the unofficial "North Campus" and "South Campus" by Foster Street, so anything south of Foster is South Campus and anything north of Foster is North Campus.
The university categorizes its halls into four types. A residential community has student-organized events and live-in faculty. A residential college has a theme and offers activities and specialized classes supported by faculty fellows. Special interest housing includes Interfaith Residence Hall in 1835 Hinman, GREEN House and other halls with particular focuses. A residence hall offers a classic college experience.
Gender Open Housing has existed since 2010 as "an arrangement whereby students, regardless of sex, gender, or gender identity, are permitted to share a room or suite in select areas of Northwestern’s residence halls." Currently, no first-year students are eligible for gender open housing.
